There's a nice post over at distributedcreativity, describing some of the art being created to expose and criticize semantic capitalism. If you've never heard the term (I hadn't) this is a good first pass:

That is, semantic capitalism is the successor concept to the Economy of the Link. The shift is to recognize that the technology of the link is inseparable from the semantics of its description. That the act of linking modifies not only the significance of the page, but also the significance of the words used in the link text. (Or, if you prefer, Click here never means simply "Click here".)
